Sainsbury's + Disney DVD's

Sainsbury's have had a VAT free offer on chart DVD's and CD's for a few days now. And Disney have currently got a buy 2 Disney DVD's and get £10 off.
So I bought the 2-disc Mary Poppins, and the 2-Disc Incredibles.
Total was £15.52.
Normally in Sainsbury's each DVD is £14.99. Whereas in HMV, The Incredibles is £15.99.
However, the VAT free price for £14.99 is displayed and scanned through as £12.76. How do they work that out? Isn't VAT on DVD's 17.5%? So shouldn't it have been £12.37?
One more thing, The Incredibles actually scanned through without the VAT taken off, so I complained. Asked if they gave a full refund on mispriced items, and the customer service girl had to get the store manager, who said "other stores may, but we don't". Oh well, worth a try.

£12.76 is correct for the VAT free price. Take 14.99 and divide by 1.175 to get this.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

are you saying you got both dvd s for the £15ish?0
-
I agree - it does seem a good deal
£14.99 - vat = £12.76 each gives £25.52 minus the Disney £10 when you buy 2 = £15.52 for the two DVDs.
That is £7.76 for a Disney DVD pretty good I would say.Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!0 -

That's right, both DVD's for £15.52, so works out at £7.76 each.
The Disney website :- http://www.disney.co.uk/DisneyVideos/shop/may_buy_2/index.html
lists the films in the buy 2 get £10 off offer.
But to get the Sainsbury offer too, it has to be in the Sainsbury's DVD or Video chart.0 -
http://www.streetsonline.co.uk is also running the £10 off 2 disney dvds but they have Alice in Wonderland and Dumbo at £11.99 each so thats £14.98 for the 2 (£1 p&p).I don't believe it!0
