I got threatening letter from them. just mentioning you havn't paid the bill
Things to mention
1) They dont have my name on letter just owner /occupier
2)The account number they have given is not mine
4) They havn't even mentioned who is the energy provider
3) I Called my energy provider to see if there is outstanding payment and it's all up to date.

The language is threatening . they said they will enter my home to fit paid meter. very scary
all the letters are hand delivered in the box,

Not sure what to do ?
any help in this regards is highly appricited

That's very unusual to get that letter out of the blue.

I suspect some incompetent energy provider like Scottish Power may be behind this.

Part of me thinks 'ignore it' but you don't want someone turning up and trying to break in and fit a prepayment meter so on balance I'd contact them and say what you have told us - but do it in writing so there is a paper trail.

I called richburns and they told me to call scottish power. when i called scotish power they said its not your account number dont worry. bit richburns sent me 2nd letter today so it's not resolving and two pointing at each other. I fear it will bemy loss. not sure how to resolve this shall i file a compaint to scottish power?

Write to Richburns, copy to SP. Head it 'FORMAL COMPLAINT'
