Yes, if it were a holiday or tickets or something, you wouldn't be able to pass it on, but if it were a book or picnic hamper, they would never know anyway.0

Thanks Marg2k8. I was looking at entering some of the Christmas family experience comps for my brother and his family (I don't have kids) but if I can't transfer the tickets there is no point.
