I'm Getting the Idea

Hi Everyone,
I think the OS thing is beginning to click (finally).
Not on the cleaning, hoovering front though!
Last night I had the following ingredients:
1/2 Roast chicken - mainly breast
1 leek
1 chicken stock cube
milk
SR flour
butter
milk
With these I made chicken and leek cobbler and it was all out of my fridge or cupboard. :j
The recipe for the chicken and leek listed cream, which I substituted for milk - DH and I agreed it would have been too rich with the cream.
Even better it took 30 minutes from nothing to being on the plate. :j
I served it with leftover roasted sweet potatoes, may sound an odd combination but it really worked.
I struggle to eat chicken breast as I find it dry and I'm not keen on the texture, but done this way it was actually edible.
DH loved it and had demanded I make it the next time we have roast chicken.

Good for you! :T
And doesn't it just feel so good to have come up with the idea? I just beam when something like this turns out, and it spurs me on to try more!
Keep it up!0
