Mortgage dead, what's next?

Hello people. We are getting ready to buy our 1st house with a mortgage and our solicitors sent us yesterday the mortgage deed to be signed. We sent that and I would like to know what's left now? Any idea how long for completion date and exchange contracts? Currently we are waiting for searches to be done. I understood that are 5 or 6 in total, we got just two at the moment.
By the way...the completion date is actually the date when you got the keys and you can move in?
Thank you for your time guys. Cheers.

Speak to the EA and your solicitor. They are the only ones who know how matters are progressing and what's happening elsewhere in the chain.0
