clicktowin comps postings on main board

hi, due to quite a few of CTW comps being posted on
main board just lately does anyone
think maybe the guidelines from this vote
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5015979
should be updated/changed ?
there is a dedicated thread for them in Reg comps where
any over £500 or new 'one off multiple entry' ones
can be posted
Click to win daily thread
but am a bit curious as to why they seem to be quite popular when posted lol.
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly. k2u58ioz4c8e.png

    I would say "no".
There are far too many of them ... it would take hours to post them, someone might be "up for it" for a while but they'll soon get bored and we'll spend ages trying to get someone else to do it, so I think just leave it as it is ... I don't even think it's necessary to post the over £500 ones, you either do the C2W's or you don't ... If you don't, I kinda doubt you'll be in there checking to see if there's anything new over £500 posted, I don't think it's necessary.

I didn't realise there was a thread for the one day only ones, these could be posted on the main board (if it's a one or 2 day only C2W) since they don't happen too often and you can give yourself a fair chance of winning.

Could maybe have a sticky at the top of the main board explaining and linking to all the regular comp threads (ie C2W's and explain what the Mag dailies are etc) ... that could be helpful for newbies who maybe don't get the regular comps or don't know where to find them.

    Thanks Firefly :A

I suggest having a dedicated C2Ws thread. Could be in regulars, but I would prefer it on the main board, as more would see it. People can add any C2W comps they like there. The format should be:

    ***the stated Prize***

    ***End Date***

Linky to the official rules (This will show all the links for each prize).

Posters should be encouraged to search the thread before posting a new one, to avoid dupes. Though you can't dupe yourself with C2Ws, so dupe posts wouldn't be such a big deal.

There should be NO rules about which ones to post and which not to. Someone might post because they think it would be a popular prize, because it's a short duration comp, because it's only shared between a handful of magazines, or whatever.

Folk could subscribe, check it as they think of it or as it gets bumped with new posts.

This would be a way of sharing 'the best' ones, without anyone having any responsibility for posting them.

The opening post should explain the posting format, encourage searching before posting, explain that the thread may not include all C2Ws, and link to the C2W thread with all the magazine links.

I agree. I don't do C2Ws and the fact that there may be a decent prize on there wouldn't tempt me to start doing them. That's my choice and if I'm missing out, so be it. I just don't bother with them and hate seeing them on the boards. People who do them regularly will quickly get to know what prizes are available at any given time.

I don't understand why Click to Wins and Magazine Dailies are being posted on the main board, when they both have a specific thread to themselves on the Regular Competitions thread.

I agree, I don't see any point in the MD's being posted on the main board either, but I don't do the MD's and that discussion has been had at length before so I didn't bother mentioning it. (I do the C2W's though, but I still don't think they should be posted on the main board)
