Your credit is already shot by going to the payday lender?
Re Irresponsible lending - By hammering these lenders, in future the only person you will hurt could be yourself. When they've paid out so much they will just close their business.
Ring up your bank for an overdraft ? When they say no you have the reason why this type of lender exists.
Whilst I do feel for you - I'd concentrate on trying to get better with money or formally sorting it once and for all.
I'm in this bracket myself - the only positives are I paid Christmas out of my own money and whilst I've about 10p in my bank account with a fast approaching real thank god payday! I can bask in the glory or should that be the sun today! that pretty much majority of my bills are paid and I've literally kept away from PDL's now for a year (third time in 6 years so it can be done) perhaps I'm lucky that yet another temporary job keeps me from trouble. ie. I could lose it tomorrow so I don't worry about making myself the perfect candidate for credit and it's just the way I like it.0 -
Maybe it is time to ring your DMP provider and alter your plan as the budget obviously does not allow you much breathing space.. hopefully you are with one of the free charities and not using a company that charges you. This should have been your first point of contact when you needed extra funds but what is done is done now. All you can try is to come to an agreement with the payday loan company to make an affordable payment plan and alter your budget for your DMP. How long has your DMP got left to run?£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

And whatever you do, do not take another payday loan to pay this one.£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

Hi,
Your budget is clearly not working for you, i think its time to re-evaluate your situation completely, do your budget again, make it more realistic, then get in touch with pay-plan and make the necessary changes, you cannot go on like his.
As for the payday loan refunds situation, check out this link, and follow the instructions provided :

I am in a self-managed dmp and only pay each creditor £1.
This is unlikely to change as I have no income due to health reasons and my OH's money pays all the bills and food etc. We live hand to mouth with no savings (don't get enough money in to be able to save any).
There is nowhere to squeeze any more money from.0 -

In that case would you qualify for a debt relief order ?
Do you own your home or rent ?
Own a car worth £1000 or less ?
Have assets less than £1000 ?
Have £50 or less left after all essential payments are made, excluding debts ?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
