I am very jealous but I hope you have an amazing time and then tell us all about it when you come back.

In the meantime I would be jumping round the place if I were you!

When is it you're going LP? Can I be really cheeky and ask you how much your flights were? PM me if you like. I'm trying to cost up a trip, hoping to get funding but best to have a fall back plan!

  • Good morning all…

Had a lovely couple of days off work, but back on the dirty old horse now!

    So, time for an update.

I’ve started the sealed pot challenge and asked for a big piggy bank for Christmas (fingers crossed) – until then, I’ll just have to try not to open and count my savings until then.

I have got my tickets for my big trip for next year which has pushed my credit card right up again. (I’ll put totals in later).

I managed to buy all of my Christmas presents in a department store in one day using only my birthday vouchers – I’m really happy about this – although disappointed that I didn’t get to spend my birthday vouchers on myself – but that’s all part of saving money I guess.

I also went into the bank and closed 2 savings pots, 1 savings account, 1 extra unused account and my ISA that I last used 3 ½ years ago.
All I have left at that bank now is my Credit Card and my old account’s overdraft.

    So the new total is:
    TOTAL £2,826.31

sniff sniff… back to nearly £3k again… but I owe M&D a large chunk of that, so not as bad as it looks and besides, I do have a massive trip coming up! :D
  • M&D have told me to stop paying them back weekly until I come back from my trip.
This means that I have an extra £25 per week to play with – which of course will go straight on my credit card.

Did a massive budget to last me until June next year, by which time I should be completely debt free and looking forward to the future and saving for a house!

I can’t tell you how desperate I am to get this (little) debt cleared!
If I get any cash for Christmas, guess where it’s going??? :D

I have had a good clear out and am trying to put as much stuff as possible on eBay and Amazon.
I’ve had no sales so far, but I can only hope!

    Fingers crossed for the future!

    Morning,

    Another payday!

I forgot to cancel the direct debt for my parents, so I paid them an extra £25 by accident which means this week, my credit card payment was down by £25.

Never mind, it’s still money off of a debt, isn’t it?

I have budgeted a lot for this weekend’s activities, all £75 of it, but I’ve got 2 very big events and to be honest, I might struggle to keep it under that! I have to, though, ‘cause that’s all the money I’ve got! Nothing left in the pot! Every penny is accounted for!

  • Morning!

Managed to keep within my budget for the weekend - phew!

Right, aim for this Friday is to pay off £80.00 on my credit card, £50.00 towards savings for the trip and £45.00 on rent overpay (this is to cover my rent when I’m on my big trip!). It’s a tough week all ‘round really!! Eek!

    Wish me luck!
