Not sure whether this is the correct section but any advice appreciated.
I've found a bottle of Pusser's Rum which was opened several years ago but is 95% full, will it still be fit to consume?
Seems a shame to pour it away. :-)
My parents weren't "drinkers" but had a "booze cupboard" for Christmas etc., mostly for visitors. (IIRC my dad only really liked Advocaat.)
I remember opened bottles being carted around the world on moves - one I distinctly recall was bright blue.
The only thing that didn't last long were the cocktail cherries.
Spirits like Rum will be fine for some time - as long as they aren't kept somewhere exposed to sunlight.
I wonder if I'm your neighbour?

Is the answer to invite us all around to do a taste test?
OP you may need to get some more bottles:D
I'm going to give it to my neighbour as he 'likes a drink' just didn't want to poison him. :-)

These days Snowball has a more Orwellian significance to me:
ETA: I opened the thread to see what Prusser’s Rum is. I’m still none the wiser

You could use all or some of it to soak some fruit to make a cake. It's quite tasty!
