    Evening.

Just a quick post to say that I haven't forgotten about you. There's a lot going on in the tjp household at the moment and the chores are taking a back seat.

Keep up the good work and hopefully I'll be back soon.

  • This thread is a really great idea.

Not sure I'll remember to consistently post here, but my "Done" list is:

    - Did water changes on both fish tanks
    - Walked the dogs
    - Did key tasks for work that were nagging
    - Practised Spanish

I'm sure there's more... but those are what I'm proud of accomplishing, hah.
  • I finished writing my Christmas Cards last night,
Phoned NS&I re new cheque - they need a letter & the ood chq returned - letter done & posted on my trip to P.O. when manual posted & stamps bought.
Phoned bank & ordered chq book BUT didn’t transfer monies - nephew currently has a slight dispute with his bank  so will wait until that is sorted BEFORE sending cash :D
Small sm shop to get rest of ingredients re the menu plan I wrote :rotfl: - had most of the ingredients in food stores/freezer

Now for the failure - AGAIN :o NO BAKING - but at least the apples for the crumble are now cooked :rotfl: so

Wednesday’s list (as it is my birthday it is very short:rotfl: )

    BAKING :rotfl:
Make 2 personal phone calls & write 2 emails

    See you tomorrow :D

Good morning all. You've all been busy in my absence, I see.
Happy Birthday MrsSD! :bdaycake: I hope you had a great day. You seem very motivated at the moment, so no need for kicking you up the jacksie at all :j

Sorry to hear you had to go to a funeral Monnagran. I live a few miles north of Portsmouth so if I stand on Portsdown Hill later, maybe we could wave at each other :rotfl:

Welcome awtech83  That's a good list of achievements.

I've been having an awful week trying to deal with a stubborn DD. Hopefully it has all calmed down now. Time will tell.

My list to do today is:
    Post birthday card to relative
    Hoovering
    Small shop for ingredients
    Make chilli
    Call BUPA re appointment
Go to bank to see if they will accept old £1 coin given to me by the Post Office last weekend

I think that's it for now. Have a good day.

I have gone on my daily walk and done the laundry. I need to put it away when it's dry.

I just cleaned the bathroom too. I need to vacuum as well. I also need to put flea treatment on my animals today.

I want to batch cook later as I've run out of HM soup for lunch. I might make black bean chilli for the fridge and then have it tonight with potato wedges.

Wednesday’s list (as it is my birthday it is very short:rotfl: )

    Happy Birthday!:)

tjp70, I did look out of the train window but couldn't spot you waving as I sped northward.

Yesterday's Lunch Club was as hectic as usual and I was thoroughly cream crackered when I got back. Was in bed by 7pm.

Today must see a good sort out of my bedroom which looks as though there has been some sort of earthquake.

Also have to make a loaf.

Ring a young man who is living on benefits in a slummy studio flat, so called. I've been trying to teach him how to keep it and himself clean. He says he needs my phone calls to keep him motivated.
I say it's the blind leading the blind.

Push on with knitting a Christmas Stocking. I'm making some for a Christmas Fair. Actually it is a Christmas Fayre, but I can hardly bear to type such fake medieval rubbish.

    That will do for today.

I'm sure that knowing someone ''genuinely cares'' will mean the world to him :). It's such a lovely thing to do, monnagran.

Thank you BucksLady. Some of these people have been in the care system all their lives and then just abandoned when they are old enough. They have no idea about how to look after themselves, cook, clean or budget. Some of them live in horrific circumstances and its no wonder that they turn to drugs or alcohol, I might myself in their position.
I am a meddlesome old biddy and old enough to be their grandmother, great grandmother in some cases, so they take my bossiness in good part.

    I made my phone call.
    Made my bread.
Contacted my solicitor (twice) re; upcoming house move.
Started clearing up my bedroom. At least I can see the wood for the trees now.
So that's where the leaves on the carpet came from.

Organza lace. I like the fly lady ideas but that thread frightens me to death.

  • I made the most of Wednesday :rotfl: I didn’t even complete my short list :o

The baking has been cancelled :D the cooked apples have been bagged & frozen.

Today I didn’t have a list but have done the following

Helped my DH & my DSis to pack for a trip to France. There is going to be a mini convoy back to France :rotfl: DH is taking the motorbike & guiding DSis in her car, back to the old homestead. She will be leaving the car in France & flying back after doing her visiting for three or four weeks :D My lovely DH will be riding back after a couple of days. They depart tomorrow a.m. & DH will be back next Thursday :T:D:j So at least a couple of weeks with just the two of us :rotfl:
Made a delicious dinner - Ha*ry B*kers recipe for Somerset Chicken with boiled potatoes & green beans plus there is enough chicken left for the freezer.
My friend phoned & we are arranging lunch out so one of the emails I was going to write on Wednesday has been sent to our other friend.

    Friday’s list

    Phone bank
    P.O.
Sm visit to exchange card & small shop
One phone call & one email
    Wash DSis’s bedding
    Wash our bedding
    Make soup
    Rearrange both freezers

    Will report back tomorrow

  • Not a bad day but didn’t complete my list

The phone call to the bank took longer than expected :( but everything finally sorted :T
Paid postage & posted DSis’s letters & package to HER friend
Successful visit to sm - exchanged the wrong card without an envelope for the correct card with an envelope :rotfl: even got £1 back :T with which (as it was already accounted for as spent) I bought a scratch card - no joy:( Picked up magazines & kitchen roll for me + 2 jars of drinking chocolate for the Mission
Sent the email :) but didn’t make the phone call:( - which will be bumped to Saturday
Stripped DSis’s bed, washed bedding & a few items of clothing, everything tumble dried, bed remade, bit of rubbish picked up & folded clothes laid on bed :rotfl: will not be poking around :rotfl:
Not on the list but done today - personal correspondence, competition entries done & some knitting.

Everything else is being bumped to tomorrow, so Saturday’s list
    Make phone call
    wash my bedding
    make soup
sort freezer contents & update contents list
    Menu plan once freezers sorted
    Clean & sort fridge again:o
    Vacuum the whole house

Let’s hope I do better tomorrow :rotfl:
