Unhappy Anniversary

Hi all,
Well I never thought I'd make it but here I am. After 365 days of filling in forms, sending emails, tweeting tweets and scouring supermarket shelves I have made it...
One whole year of comping without a single win....not a sausage (and yes I even tried that).
So please console me with a round of unhappy anniversary wishes.
Here's to the next 12 months.
Good luck y'all.

I am so sorry - it must be so disheartening for you - well done for persevering though.
I hope your fortunes turn around and you win lots in your next year of comping!0 -
I do hope your luck changes soon!2018 wins-12wins0

1 year is nothing, it took 3 years of entering before I won anything posted on MSE and I only get a win once every 18 months to 2 years, if I'm lucky.0

I feel for you, i have just had my year anniversary in July of not winning anything either, ( I have won a couple of things in my 7 years of comping tho)
Wishing you lots of luck in the future0 -
Many "prizes" are just !!!!!! anyway .... rubbish, cheap tat... you didn't want/need it ... cluttering up your house.
You're better off having not won ... you had the enjoyment of the entertainment of taking part - and if that's not enough, then stop doing it.
Win a holiday? Even if you'd won you'd have probably just got a window sticker prize. Gardening vouchers? You'd have got a "money off when you spend £50" voucher for a place that's nowhere near you.0 -
Sorry to hear of your misfortune.
Just wondering though, how many are you entering a day?
My win rate works out around 1 in every 3-400 comps entered. And I've mostly won 'small' items.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I feel ya! I've been comping for years (about seven) - my total win is £100. That's entering hundreds of comps a week on websites, Twitter, Facebook, via email, post etc.
Some people win on their first go, others - like us - don't get anything for a long, long time.
But you have to be in it to win it. You never know what's around the corner!0 -

I probably do 25-30 a day , so somewhere between 7000 and 10,000 in a year. So zero is probably a slightly lower than anticipated return!2016: Joseph Cheaney Shoes; Rival Sons album

When we did the enter 1 million comps two years back we had people entering 1,000 plus comps per DAY
25-30 comps per day is very few compared to most“I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.” - Billy Joel

Yeah, when I average that win rate, it's when I'm doing 150-200 per day.
I also increase my chances by entering local comps, effort comps and some rafflecopter and gleam comps. Most tend to have fewer entrants. The TV and gleam comps I gp for aren't massive prizes usually, but are ones I will make use off (toddler related stuff for example) and I will take a little extra time to comment on the page if it grants me an extra entry, for example.
Wishing you lots of luck for the year ahead!February wins: Theatre tickets0
