Money Savers Arms

Last ooorders!… We’re sorry but for now, due to resources, we need to close the Money Savers Arms including Discussion Time.

It’s not easy to write this. We love the forum, but we also have a job to do to protect it, our users and MoneySavingExpert, and at the moment, with all our resources focused on Coronavirus information, and all the team at home, we don’t feel we have the resources to do a good enough job.

For four months, we’ve been struggling to cope with the huge volumes of messages we’ve been getting from Forumites – many of whom are in desperate and dire straits with their finances. The team have been working all hours to try and keep on top of it. At first we thought it’d be a short sharp spike, but it isn’t, it’s continuing, so we have had some difficult choices to make about prioritisation.

Unfortunately in, and likely because of, these stressful times, the Forum team have also been receiving an increasing number of complaints about posts made on the Money Savers Arms and Discussion Time. The team have done what they can to try and walk the tightrope of balancing all the various interests, but for now we need to draw a line under this and temporarily close this Board, so we can keep the key, MoneySaving boards – where people are supporting each other through this crisis - running smoothly.

We know this board is important to you, but as the MSE stance has been forbearance throughout this crisis, now we ask that of you. We’re sorry. Of course you can post on other boards, but we’d ask you to stick to the subjects of those boards, and not use them as a surrogate Money Savers Arms or Discussion Time. And as always please be kind and friendly to each other, especially any newbies.

Thanks
MSE Forum Team

Zumba and the Lycra that goes with it should be kept indoors and out of the sight of men

I took my dog down to the basketball court so that I could let him off the lead to play with a football but the Zumba ladies got there first and although I didn't stand and watch them, the slightest glance of all that stretched lycra was enough to darken my soul for the rest of today :rotfl:

I was going to come on this thread and grumble about the local kids setting fire to things again as I have been seeing evidence of something having been burnt in the park where we walk in the morning but it turns out to have been a rather large fire at the industrial estate just the other side of the trees.
There were over 40 firefighters in attendance at 11pm last night and the wind must have carried the ashes over a mile at least.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Decided to clear up the wrongful entries from my credit file, but it was worse than I thought, its been 6 years since they were opened due to identity fraud and I assumed they would come off my file by now, turns out they defaulted a year later so they have to 2019 to come off my file! I was hoping to contact the companies and rather than jump through hoops and prove they were not mine just to say they are statute barred.

Can't do that anymore! That being said they are passed the Scottish timeframe for recovery.

And I contacted them last year, turns out if I didn't do so it would of been off my file already! Worried it may be an excuse!

The dwps new find a job website. Its terrible. You cant view cvs you have on it. It no longer matches you to jobs based on criteria you set. So you now have to just trawl through everything. I looked in the engineering section today and it was full of jobs for bar staff. How long has bar work been part of engineering.
