The Parmigiani web site says the contract with Montreux was signed in 2007.
From HERE the timeline at the bottom of the page shows:-
2007: creation of an international cultural partnership: Parmigiani Fleurier becomes the new watchmaking partner of the Montreux Jazz festival, and the Montreux Jazz Festival Worldwide.
2008: the cultural partnership with the Montreux Jazz festival develops. Parmigiani Fleurier joins the exclusive club of the event's main partners, with greater visibility.
