apart from chocolate eggs lol
we usually do the traditional Lamb roast and all the trimmings but I'm wondering whether to do something totally different although I have a feeling my guests would like traditional.
What is on your menu please

As usual, Sunday lunch out....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
A buffet -Glazed ham, BBQ seasoned brisket, salads, etc. There will be around 12 of us so a buffet works well for us.0

We are currently in negotiations- options are
A Traditional Roast lamb at home with family
B BBQ at home with friends and family and lots of booze
C Out to lunch with said friends - still lots of booze, just costs moreNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
Toast probably. Years ago mum used to do a turkey/Xmas dinner ... but she stopped doing that when we were teenagers or so.
I've never cooked/eaten anything special at Easter.0 -
Is it Easter soon then? It's not on my radar as yet, so no idea what I'll be eating. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Whatever I happen to have in the fridge and freezer. I'll know when I open the door and look inside.
IlonaI love skip diving.0 -
As a child, it was always Spring lamb
Then when I had my own family I'd always buy an extra reduced turkey at Christmas
Now I work Easter so we don't have anything that takes a long time to cook or needs looking after. If family come it's a pie. If it's just us, egg and chips0 -
Maundy Thursday I will have lamb with bitter herbs (a tradition that started at the last church I attended....a number of churches - of all denominations - met together and had lamb on Thursday evening ...and then met together for a combined service on Good Friday)
Good Friday I will have home made hot-cross buns.
Easter Day I will probably join with Mum and have a dinner with her...possibly a small turkey breast joint....and I will break my Easter Egg for dessert. (Small Hotel Chocolat one)0 -
my aged P is away at my sisters for easter so I plan to paint his kitchen cupboard doors for him while he's not there making mugs of tea every 5 mins, so whatever I eat with be something salady.
saying that I quite like the idea of slinging a lamb casserole in the slow cooker, I can leave that cooking on the hall floor while i'm busy painting0 -
Eek, the kids and grandkids have decided they are coming, and as I work in hospitality which depends on the weather as to how busy and how many days I'll be working, seems I'm going to be stuffed and need to get meal plans sorted now0
