AC, always good to have a break and glad the gym eased your stiffness yesterday.
It's definitely miserable weather today isn't it?
You sound like you've a busy day ahead of you. Hope you manage to achieve everything you'd like.Chandelier.

Thanks very much chandelier
James has arrived . One shelf is a different material to the other done will have to come back at some stage .
I mentioned in passing that the pressure of the water is great on the shower , but useless for a bath. He will investigate shortly .
Feel a bit ropey today .0 -
James is going to have a word with the people he got the shower from
(Soak), and see if they will change part of the unit as there seems to be a problem with poor pressure when running a bath . Great for a shower . I'm not sure if it is that,as in the last flat around the corner I had the same problem. He has to get a shelf anyway, as he was given the wrong type. He fancies having a beer with me also at some stage
So, I did nothing at all today . No more of that . Tomorrow I will go to the gym and start tidying up the place when I return . I sold an old tennis racquet I found in the loft , so that has to be posted to the lucky flebayer.
It's a case of getting on with it .0 -
Got a bit more done yesterday . So far so good .
Today ? A p I t a !
Thought I'd phone hospital in the morning to make sure I haven't missed any appointments / gave new details etc
Wasn't sure when I'd get a callback from voicemail . Eventually called back this afternoon and succeeded. Next appt .november.
Got a final notice regarding my council tax . I assumed I paid for everything. I distinctly told them the last time I paid in June , to make sure I am now all square with both addresses .
This demand is from may. I know I've paid it . However, when I phoned the no. On the final warning letter, it kept cutting off.
Angry :mad:::mad::mad:
Eventually I got through on another no. I paid to stop additional charges. I confused them . All I asked them for , is a breakdown of all the payments I made since last November . How hard can that be ?? I am promised this .
What it may mean , is that I have to go to nationwide and ask them of a breakdown instead. I'm trying not to have a breakdown myself.
So , I'm looking for about a dozen picture frames . Light in weight , black if poss . Hard to find online . I ideally wanted them for this weekend . I went to wilko . No go . Same with beales.
I'm still looking on fleabay and amazon .
I then received a letter about a pension I had with friends life.
They are merging with aviva . Managed to talk to them .
However, the amount I have is far less than expected. I believe I transferred my last pension to them . It sounds like it may have been transferrred to another policy in the same company.
The company now has merged/ been taken over by Reuters .
Can I ger a phone no?!only one ..that keeps ringing and disconnects:mad:
It means I have to go through one of my 20,000 box files in the next couple of weeks to put my mind at rest .
It took ages to find out that this pension was transferred when I enquired around 2011. I now have to start all over again .
This time , everything will be accessible when I need it from now on.
My living room was tidy yesterday . James was well impressed with it
Today , it's a tmporary mess. Spending time on your hands and knees in enclosed spaces is not fun.
Oh, and we alll got gvt letters and I opened the neighbour upstairs one by mistake . I put sellotape on it and put 'sorry opened in error'
I'm expecting a smallish shelving unit shortly.
I will then have dinner , and then keep tackling the mess .0 -
I picked up some nice 'box' style black frames from home bargains and the range. From memory I think the home bargains ones were cheapest. Might be worth a look, ikea ribba are also niceLBM 28/3/17 £24,971  28/6/17 £14,376 42% paid0

I think you need to go through the box files anyway AC. It sounds as if you never throw paperwork away which means if you need to lay your hands on anything this is a nightmare and very time consuming. I have about 10 box files, 2 are empty and 2 have guarantees and manuals/receipts for white goods, small electronic devices and other bits and pieces like TVs, iPads, phones, clocks etc. 1 has the last years bills for council tax, contracts for utilities (I am paperless for monthly bills so can get anything on line) and direct debit mandate copies for various things. I has payslips and tax forms (up to 6 years for these), 1 has anything to do with cars, 1 has property information, 1 has investments and 1 has pensions. I only keep the latest statements and keep the terms and conditions in booklet forms for accounts and investments. Passports, birth and death certificates etc and spare bank cards I don't use all the time are kept in safe with house deeds.
I am pretty sure the majority of the contents of those box files can be shredded or ditched. Go paperless from now on to reduce space needed to store all of the paperwork.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Thank you enthusiadtic
I have indeed gone onto the paperless route for various bills etc.
It is so obvious what I will now be doing on a daily basis , probably starting at the weekend .
Looking back as to how I become a bit of a mess : working long hours
Plus being up at 5am everyday / brother invading my space and my life / and of course sticking my head in the sand regarding money in general .
Evan before I went on a d m p , I started buying loads of box files / filling them up till past bursting point / leaving them till I get around to it, but never doing it . Before my brother arrived , I used to take the occasional day off work as a holiday and fill a few black bags up and dispose of them. There is more progress being made ,so one day 98% of them will be gone
Regarding wageslips : the last company I worked for started doing them online .
However, the wages lady did send me through all those on paper after I left .
I assume I can throw the rest away ? ( will need to keep p 60 tho)0
