To buy my organic milk from Tesco and not the local organic farm shop?
I toddled up there complete with my broken wing mirror (that took some doing trying to park) and got my organic free range eggs. Spotted the organic milk there and succumbed! Nearly fainted when she told me it was £2 for 2 litres but thought well, it's the farm where the cows are kept, no transportation costs etc. it must be cheaper?
Then I did my next weeks online shop with Tesco where I found out that Organic milk was only £1.25 for 4 pts!
I know that Tesco do tend to drive down the farmers prices but how on earth can they manage to sell the same milk in a larger quanity for less money?

Moggins, which farm shop do you use?Bulletproof0

I recently visited an organic farm shop and found it significantly more expensive than Tescos. I simply couldn't afford to shop there.0

Troo, it was Buttercup Farm on the Stroud Road at Brookthorpe. They had next to nothing in the veg line so I didn't bother with any of that and what they had looked very tired and old, the sort of condition I wouldn't even feed to the guinea pigs.
I do want to go more organic especially with milk but really can't afford those kind of prices and this morning found the milk has sort of separated too. It doesn't smell off but it looks as if it's going that wayOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

I've never been there. Try Over Farm, they started very small, just selling their own produce. But now they sell allsorts, they support local businesses too. They have stock from surrounding farms, a lot of it is what's available from the farmer's market on fridays in town.Bulletproof0

I've started buying organic milk from Tesco's but just as I did, they've stopped selling the 4 pinters in skimmed! In fact none of my local supermarkets sell 4 pint skimmed anymore so I end up buying 4 pint s/s for kids and 2 pints for me - and I always seem to run out, even if I buy twice as many 2 pinters. Tesco say they won't be restocking it. Have they still got it in other stores or has it gone for good in that size?0

I bought 2 X 4pts non-organic skimmed yesterday morning in Tescos. They have stopped doing 6pts skimmed. Which I use to get.
