    Right, chocolatey.... is it ok to use spreadable butter in cakes? It might be a dumb question but it goes a bit floppy if I let it get to room temerature. It's lurpack if that makes any difference?

    :think: Errr...I'm not 100% sure, but I would say yes. Some recipes have oil, and some melted butter, so I reckon it wouldn't matter if it was a bit soft. However, I don't know what cake you're making, which absolves me of any responsibility should it all go wrong. :whistle:

    OK here goes, love the thread by the way.
    I made a dozen chocolate muffins for my work colleagues as we have a meeting tomorrow and cakes make it more bearable :)

    Clementines have just started to ripen here in Spain so I thought I'd try the cake with boiled clementines that Nigella did the other night..Here it is
