  • all sounds a bit suss to me & I woud get down to CAB for some advice. If they keep changing the date you get paid are you being paid the correct amount? Big hugs for you as its hard enought without fighting for money but ths really is unacceptable! Just make sure you dont get done & take your pay slips with you to CAB. Looking for other work sounds like a good idea to me!

  • Thanks everyone!
I think it's all sorted, I spoke to another trustee today and he couldn't believe it, whilst I was talking to him another trustee came in and couldn't believe it either and got straight on the phone.
Seem they're not very happy with the person doing the accounts who is only going to doing them until Dec 31st, it may be a lot shorter than that now!

I can't believe I thought it was going to be so hard!!!

  • Well done OP, its not easy speaking to employers about this sort of thing.

I worked for a terrible company when I was 17, my starting wage was £3.20 an hour, eventually rose to £4.12.

When I turned 21 I knew I was elgible for minimum wage but was to scared to say anything. My mum thought I was mad, working long hours for a low and illegal wage.

Have left now (2 years ago) and am a much more assertive person now. It angers me that they could treat a young and unconfident employee like that. If I worked there now I wouldn't put up with it, but I am now an assertive adult who can stand up for myself!

Good for you OP, an unacceptable situation like that cannot be alowed to continue
