Advice pls

Our mortgage application has been referred I think this because my husbands last payslip that they have is 2 September. My major concern is not that we will be declined because my hubby is now on ssp because he had an operation on 5 September. By the time the house goes through he will be back at work.
We haven't borrowed the maximum either we could borrow up to £190,000 and we are wanting £143,650 and we have put down 15%. We have no debt either.

What do you think our chances our for the mortgage?

Why weren't more recent wage slips provided at the time of the mortgage application.
  • They were up to date when we first applied, but time has gone on

It is normally a computer system that refers an application. The computer would not know the payslip is out of date.

You cant just not provide the Ocotber payslip if thats what they have asked for and hope it gets looked over. Give them the payslip and explain the issue. I am a big believer in honesty is the best policy, it looks like you are trying to hide something, the last thing you want is an underwriter that does not trust you.

The answer will depend on the lender and what their stance, some lenders would want to see a "normal" payslip before releasing the money or agreeing to the mortgage, most I imagine would be fine - although it is not something I have come across personally.

Sorry only seen your other post after I had replied.

I could be wrong but I would be surprised if it has referred because the payslip is now out of date.

I would stick with what your broker says. Too many cooks and all that.
Everyone has their own ways of doing things by getting multiple answers your just going to stress yourself out even more, trust the person you have employed to deal with it.
