Think everyone needs to take a chill pill.
I don't have any children but earn about what OP gets in maintance by doing a full time job per month and do have disabled husband on benefits. But what I think and what I say are two different things. So would not have mentioned it.
I have to say when you do a SOA on public forum then people are going to give the poster a reality check like it or not and some people do not agree with somethings. Like spending £50/£60 a month on cable and then say I never go out. I rarely say a word even though I don't even have a telly and hardly ever go out myself.
It is horses for course. But the poster did ask for help. SOA are very emotive the poster must detach themselves look at it as if it someone elses and then you can start to see where you would suggest the other person cuts back.
Yes maybe you do live in more expensive part of the country and that would mean higher mortgage and council tax. But virutally everything else would be about the same as there the same shops all over the country.
I mean if I was brutal I would say cut back to bare bones and I could save you hundreds of pounds. But I don't.
Also are you putting what you think you spend or what you actually are spending two different things.
Maybe a spending diary would a good idea as well as cutting back. Don't forget it is not about going with out but getting more for you money leaving you with some in your pocket to save.
All the best.
Yours

YES - the OP does need a reality check on her SOA and not only does she fully admit that but has already started to take on board suggestions.
The point is the manner in which she is advised of said reality check and certain posters didnt really follow the *be nice to all MSErs* ethos of this site - thats what the bugbear is!!:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Thank you for your comments CalleyW,
I appreciate what you said about my post being outrageous, but I was really being "got at". I can understand why people might think I am ridiculous, and maybe I have been in the past, but that is what I want to put right and I do not need someone ramming it down my throat in the way that Narvo did. I laid myself bare and feel that should be respected.
I really do want to sort myself out and am so appreciatitive of the time and effort people are taking for me and others on this site. Also, I am respectful of everyone who has been there before me, they obviously know what they are talking about.
With regards, Beki :heart2:Bekibuns:smileyhea

Sometimes people do not actually realize what they are spending until it is written down in front of them - then they get a huge huge shock (for the better of course)
The OP has now realized this and is doing her up most to cut back :j:j:j
I can whole heartily understand where she is coming from and I think she was very brave to honestly list everything on there.
Good luck to you!!! :beer:0
