lets change the hoard baby!! Self confessed hoarder - I have had enough! Bare with me, be gentle, life is a rollercoaster! So......

I'm in my 30s, mother of 2 in a long term relationship and well I'm chaos! Me on my own as a human is chaos! I'm a hoarding chaos but I have realised I need to change and stop the hoarding

What do I hoard or the question is what don't I hoard? Everything from cake baking, clothes, shoes oh my the shoes, food, toys, debt oh it goes on and on.

Oh and I have never shared finances, it's something I never wanted to do knowing how bad I am but I want to get my finances to the point that I am proud of!

We both work, me only part time so oh is main earner! I pay small bills and don't have much more left. Something need to work on and change!

The point of me posting is I need somewhere I can go to with frustrations and where I can talk about and babble on just to get it all out to the world! It's going to be a journey but I'm looking forward to it!

    Hello there
There is a thread on the Old style section which is a support for hoarders. You might find it interesting/useful.
    Good luck with your aims.

  • Thank you so much I will go have a look!! I need some good tips! :D
  • I'm back and ready for action.. Went awol and suppose I'm loosing the will to live amongst the clutter now that I have stood back and looked at it.
  • Read Marie Kondo - The life changing magic of tidying up. Can pick the book up in Sainsburys right now for £4.99 or the audio book is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7EdleXy_1Q

I am not a hoarder so not sure if it is all as simple as Marie makes out in her book, but it really has helped me sort through stuff I had and only keep items that i truly like and value.

There are also Facebook groups that are helpful.

    Good luck xx
