The reason I have put a question mark next to purchase is because in the T&C it says Winners should retain their promotional pack, as it may be required to validate their prize.

Purchase necessary. You will need a Promotional Pack to enter.

Promotional Packs are anticipated to be in participating stores from 17th August 2015, subject to availability.
The main promotional period opens on 17th August 2015 & closes on 17th January 2016. There is then an additional ‘mop up draw’ which opens on 18th January 2016 and closes on 17th April 2016. Entries received after 17th April 2016 will not be accepted.


HOW TO ENTER:
After purchasing a Promotional Pack, entrants must log on to https://www.tangerineuk.net and click on the Sweet Beats banner. They must then enter their contact details & barcode from their Promotional Pack.
Entrants will then be asked to press ‘play’ on the Sweet Beats Music Player. They must press ‘pause’ before the track has finished. If an entrant presses ‘pause’ on or immediately after the ‘winning moment’ (see clause 13), they will be determined a winner.
Only one entry permitted per person per day and a maximum of twenty entries permitted per person during the entire promotional period.
All entries must be made directly by the person entering the promotion. Entries made online by such methods as macros, a script, or the use of automated devices or processes are not allowed, and all such entries will be disqualified.
The Promoter reserves the right, in its reasonable discretion, to disqualify any entrant whose conduct is contrary to the spirit of the terms and conditions or the intention of the promotion, and to declare as void any or all entries based on such conduct.


PRIZES:
Main Promotion:

Prizes have been pre-allocated and linked to ‘winning moments’ (defined to the date, hour, minute and second), randomly and fairly spread throughout the main promotional period. The winning moments have been pre-selected via a secure and independently verified computer system.
There will be 2,728 winning moments during the main promotional period. If an entrant is the first person to enter (via pressing pause on the music player) either on or immediately after a pre-determined winning moment, then the entrant will win a prize.
Winners will be notified immediately on screen if they have won a prize and will then receive a confirmation email to the email address provided which will explain how they will receive their prize.

The winner of the Mop Up Draw will receive:

1 x £100 / €100 Ticketmaster Giftcard.
One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries by an automatic computer generated random draw programme. The winner will be notified by email within five working days of the draw. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to contact the Promoter within five working days following the notification by email if their address has changed since they submitted their entry. The Promoter is unable to redirect mail.


GENERAL:
The Promoter will not be liable for non-delivery of prizes caused by the provision of wrong information by the winner, postal disputes or other causes beyond the Promoter’s control.

Nothing special. I clicked within the first few seconds when I won, but tried that again the next day and won nothing. So I think it's completely random.
