Devil's Advocate

Following on from the thread about you best win of 2015....

What was your worst win of 2015? (Let's see photies if you can ;) )

No blarb about why did you enter if they prize was naff ect
(Sometimes the prizes are not what we expect or we get runner up prizes ;) )

I entered a comp for what I thought was a dog bowl, toy and treats, when they arrived they were a double cat bowl, a cat toy and a full box of treats!! :o

The bowl and toy went to the local charity shop and the dog loved the cat treats :rotfl:

A runner up prize - a bit of plastic that you attached to a bottle, and each time you took a swig, hey presto, you appeared to have a yellow moustache. Hilarious, not.

Really !!!! pointless prizes annoy me, it would be better if they donated the money to charity instead of sending out tat that just goes to landfill.
    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

I didn't really get that many wins this year so I would hardly complain about any of them, EXCEPT for one... a Dioralyte "thirst aiders kit"... Lord knows what I thought I was entering for, perhaps it was a runners up prize where the main prize was something great, but when it finally arrived it was : a water bottle with Dioralyte emblazoned on it, along with a few plastic cups (literally the type you find at buffets or by the water cooler) some stickers and a booklet about rehydration. Far and away the worst prize I've ever received!

I've just googled it and it seems the main prize was a minibreak to LEGOLAND, with 500 runners up winning the fantastic runners up prize I received.... ;)

I remember reading about that prize earlier in the year...how naff :(

Can you just imagine a bairn eating his/her packed lunch at school drinking out of that bottle :rotfl:

I would at least use the water bottle to put water in and chuck in the boot for the dog :D

I won a hand warmer- I know I entered for it but it was nothing like I expected.

It was a small shaped disk with gel stuff in that you heated up.

It was smaller than the palm of my hand and wouldn't have kept much warm... :(

So pleased to get an email saying I'd won some of my favourite tea.

C'mon.. Surely they could have done better than 10 teabags ?
