I also freeze before cooking - ive frozen it in a bag on its own, and also as a made up crumble (we like apple and blackberrie!!!).

You can freeze once its cooked as well tho, if you need to.

Probably best frozen before cooking - I froze some leftover crumble once and although it was fine, the topping was a bit solid!
  • Do you have to defrost the crumble before cooking? Or just increase the cooking time?

Cook straight from frozen and add a little extra time;)

We freeze the blackberries and apple mixture in portion size bags and the ready mixed crumble in a clip and seal box in the freezer.

Defrost the mixture but put the crumble topping on as is.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
  • I freeze before too and cook straight from frozen
