Making meal seem 'special'

Options
I am trying to cut down on endless cooking this year. For one Christmas meal somebody suggested beef bourguinon as a main with new potatoes and green beans, not for Christmas Day itself but for 21st. Beef braising but probably local if not organic.

Any ideas about how to present it / classy looking accompaniments / not too much work. Starters will be mini quiches / salad and pudding home made gelato. Sounds better than I thought it was once written down.

Thanks / diolch yn fawr

I serve any 'stewy' type meal in individual Le Creuset type dishes for a posher look, Any smaller bowl would do on a dinner plate with the spuds and veg on the plate - you could also dress your new potatoes with butter and herbs before serving - a bit of time needed, but not a huge faff - hope you get a chance to relax and chill whatever you do X

On the table dressing theme, I've seen a few nice Christmassy table decorations in charity shops lately - I just bought some lovely napkin rings with little Christmas trees stamped out of them today.

For the food, little touches you wouldn't normally bother with like some fresh herbs snipped over, butter and other condiments in little pats or bowls instead of the tub/bottle on the table, side dishes in nice serving dishes so people can help themselves. Hope this helps :)

Absolutely. Nadolig Llawen is Merry Christmas. The Ll does correspond to the Gaelic Ch, especially in Scots and Manx. Although I'm a Welsh learner so not always 100% correct ;)

Definitely making the table special will help.
