Made a batch of root mash, so meals will be based on using that.

Monday - quorn sausage, mash, steamed veg

Tues - pork chops, mash, steamed veg

Wed - savoury mince topped with (you got it) mash

Thurs - Baked potato, beans, cheese - maybe HM coleslaw if I get round to it

Fri - Fish and HM wedges

Lunch will be a range of soups, on Tuesday I'm getting a free lunch.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

  • Hi - first time posting a menu plan here, but am struggling a bit with cooking for the 7 of us at the moment, so hopefully this will help!

    MONDAY
two children get dinner at Music club
two children will have l/o shepherd's pie from today
DH and I will have pasta with anchovies and chilli

TUESDAY - Toad in Hole (already have sausages)

WEDNESDAY - Fish Pie (fish in freezer)

    THURSDAY - Dinner at Mum's

FRIDAY - Homemade Pizza Puffs (new recipe)
    http://realfood.tesco.com/recipes/pizza-puffs.html
Will make dough in bread maker

SATURDAY - Cooked breakfast/Smoked Salmon Pasta

SUNDAY - Church lunch so will prob just have pancakes in evening. Will have to make dessert/buy drinks to bring.

LUNCH - homemade soup/rolls, jacket potatoes or spaghetti, cheesy tortillas

    BREAKFAST - lots of porridge

Looks like might be able to make it quite a cheap week, only main ingredient I have to buy in will be small pack of smoked salmon.

  • Mon - left over veggie and paneer tikka masala with rice
Tue - jacket potato, cheese, beans, broccoli
Wed - pasta and tuna (maybe in a sauce or maybe pasta salad style)
Thus - lentils and rice (my son is away, cheap eating)
Fri - spicy wedges, egg, peas
Sat - Quorn sausage, mash, peas
Sun - not sure yet :)

As my son is fussy meals tend to be a bit basic and plain so now trying to cook different things once or twice a week x
  • left over veggie and paneer tikka masala with rice - sellotape that sounds delicious! Love paneer. Do you use a jar sauce or make your own?
