    Thanks Brizzle… organised chaos :D

I did sit down yesterday and reworked my savings spreadsheet (pen and paper ;) ) against likely spends. we will be debt neutral by April :T :T but in reality , keeping savings against 0% cc, we will be another 18mths to be debt free. I'm using a share save to almost double our cash to pay off my car in the summer. I will use cash saved from now to get a new kitchen in the autumn of next year. DD2 and I visited Ike@ yesterday. I spent £22 :A bought GD a little present for her birthday next month, to make the bedroom carpet I have promised appear less dull, T towels and diame for OH and a couple of scented candles.

We are off to Edinburgh tomorrow to mooch at the xmas markets. DD2 has asked for new bras and earrings. DD1 had her MOT, so I'm just getting her stocking fillers. I have a good lego set for GD from a Lid1 offer a few weeks ago. I'm hoping including food it will all come to less than £500. OH could do with new trainers.

Still pending £40 from DD1, she's on her way now ( I hope). I'm feeling a little delicate after going to the party last night. OH is cooking dinner I bought Ald1 bbq ribs and hot chicken wings this week, having those with jacket spuds. There seems a lot of banging in the kitchen for What I would assume to be opening a few packets :o.

I've been watching The Crown. I'm trying not to compare Claire Foy with Olivia Coleman and trying to accept that people change as they grow older ;) anyhow The Aberfan episode was astounding. Episode 3?

Hi mfd's, I confess I watched all ten while doing a mammoth ironing session over the weekend , episode three was hard to watch.

I enjoyed watching The Crown, I've completed it now :D so I'll go back to watching Suits. I've been royalty stalking, and wanted to see what the MM fuss was about. I've enjoyed it even though it can be quite far fetched and am up to series 7... hence having a break so I don't get to the end too soon ;)

All debts sorted for the month bar mortgage, I expect that will be Monday. I am currently paying down around £1500 in car/house/cc's. I can't wait until next year to apply all of the funds to the mortgage. However those big jobs, kitchen then windows are looming to scupper my plans.

Yesterday and today is OT to add to next months pot.

As usual we spent far too much in Edinburgh. I did buy some Christmas presents though so not all bad. We did have a bit of a fright around the home journey. Our trains were cancelled due to west coast line problems. Thankfully we were able to get on an east coast service then travel cross country. Again we were thankful we could use our pre booked tickets.... School girl error though. I threw them in the bin on arrival.... then I paid for my OH to have a further ticket home when he could have used his >60s pass... That's around £41 down the river, or a weeks food shop :( I will say we are thankful it only added and extra hour and minimal real further cost, just not reclaimed.

I was hoping to make saving elsewhere like going AF, but I have been asked out for a Christmas meal tomorrow with my work colleagues, then we have Sunday lunch planned with friends. But I've gone gym free and cancelled WW that's £70 pcm saved.

DD1s car has needed fixing again :( £92 this time. She paid for her own recovery as she was too scared to drive it home. I have told her the £92 needs paying back ASAP. We have already promised GD a carpet which is likely to be around £100. Oh and I've paid my annual registration £120 :(
OH owes me £100 and he is leaving me the extra £100 to top up winter bills on his payday next week. :)

I think I am just being tight fisted. My savings spreadsheet tells me I can reach £5k after Decembers pay which is quite a cash mile stone. With my little family I need the cash security. We have £5.5k in OHs shares increasing by £300 per month. The I will cash in £3.6k in shares next summer. The last time we were able to take the pay out it was just under £6k, we almost doubled our money :D. This will pay off my car. We will then pay the maximum into the share scheme as OH *WILL* remain fit and healthy and able to work :D I will be aiming to save for a kitchen and ploughing the rest at the debt after Christmas.

Christmas meal with work was lovely. We went to a few better class of bars following (more expensive ;) ) I spent far too much money and I missed my last train home therefore £££ on a taxi. I have woke up with a clear head... very surprisingly :T:T:T thank goodness I don't go out much :D

Saying that, we are meeting friends for lunch today. So yesterdays spend will probably be matched locally. I'll have wiped out my gain from 2 OT shifts... again though, it'll be done for 6 months :D

Someone has left an empty teabag box in the cupboard. I wasn't alerted to the low supply (DD2) :( I've had to resort to drinking the tea my sister left behind... biscuit flavoured !! I'm not impressed. Will need a shopping trip tomorrow before I spend all our money on socialising :)

I have a few dds to come out tomorrow. I'm hoping my monthly totals will be OK.

NG , I have used MFP in the past but half heartedly. My phone stopped automatically picking up step count so I got fed up. I lose motivation and think I'm ok … then hate myself before starting again. I don't know what it is about standing in front of a stranger and paying to get weighed that keeps me on track. I'm on nights now until after Christmas. every weekend … less chance to party thankfully, but it does mean Monday and Tuesdays with my OH. Our weekends :o

I picked up another OT yesterday with my own team so it was quite nice. I left OH painting the wooden (square) spindles on the staircase. Today we are ready to lay the carpet.. again as OHs former trade he will do this.

DD1 returned £10 (a drop in the ocean) she has a plan.... I don't agree with it, but there is one .. She is pinning hopes on breeding her dog to reduce her debt. I've tried to talk her out of it. I've been honest and forthright with the cons and she is only seeing the benefits. So she has a more balanced view... and its her decision not mine. I'm going to be hanging on the end of my seat until its over.

GD is 6 next week and I made the foolish offer to pay for her bedroom carpet. DD1 wants that this week. OH will go to his friend and pick up the cheapest he can get. He thinks it will still be around £100.

I think I may give up on December as a bad job. With my 2 outings over the W/E and DD2 being poor too... I imagine I will just have to thank my lucky stars I can do it.

Oh dear just don’t agree to dog sitting as well she’ll have to keep the puppies for 11 weeks before they can be sold I can also see the expenses racking up.

You’re lucky re the carpets I wish I was ready for that yet really makes such a big impact on a room.
