I didn't win an iPad :)

Back in July I posted in IWIWIW that I'd won an iPad from a C2W comp. It also was supposed to include a signed CD from Noah Francis Johnson.
To cut a very long story short, I must've emailed at least a dozen times about this. I've had a phone call from Noah himself apologising for the delay, then, when still nothing happened, someone from Noah's office phoned - after I'd contacted Bauer Media again. He said Noah wanted to offer me 2 tickets to see him at the O2. I said thanks, but it was too far for me to get to. More time passed with nothing happening, more emails to Bauer Media.
Eventually I got a call from someone from Bauer who chased it up for me. Even then, I had to email again after hearing nothing.
The end result is they've finally paid me £500. That was around ten days ago. The CD never came, and I doubt it will. I'd only sell it or give to charity anyway, as I'm so hacked off with the whole thing now.
It's ended well for me, with a generous prize. But TBH, it doesn't feel like a win any more. I feel more like I've earned it.
So I'm back trying to win an iPad again. I know I could buy one with what they paid me, but I prefer to keep going and wait until I win one. Perhaps next time, it will actually turn up.

I do sympathise, it is so annoying when you win something and you don't get it. I'm glad you got something in the end and good luck with trying to win an ipad.Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.

It is very nice to have £500 just before Christmas although I do wonder why Bauer Media could not have just bought you an iPad?

I mean, how hard is it for someone at Bauer to buy an ipad? It sounds like you got a better deal with the £500 though, but what a way to sour a win that you were so excited about.
PS - I have an ipad mini and it's ok for games and emails but awful for entering comps. I would have been disappointed if I had spent money on it and not won it. I much prefer a laptop tbh.Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!0
