Hi All,
Am considering purchasing a Fitbit One. Not sure yet, but am liking what I've read about them. So, has anyone here purchased a Fitbit One and if so, would you recommend it? What's good about it, what's not so good about it?
Thanks in advance

I've got a Fitbit Charge HR.
I like it... it does everything it says it does. The only thing I don't like it that as a girl, it's a a bit 'manly' designed... and I have sensitive skin & sometimes the rubber does irritate my skin if I'm feeling hot & bothered & I just wanna take it off! However that's probably because I wear it 24/7 unless showering.0 -
Thanks, dearlouise, I did look at the HR one, but I think you only have the option to wear it as a wristband, is that right? I was considering the Fitbit One as it fits onto clothing, even a bra, and I quite liked the though of it being so discreet. Haven't made up my mind yet though...0

i've a fitbit flex and I dont really rate it.
It credited me with reaching my walking target last week even although I was driving over 400 miles.
I've tried calibrating it for my active arm when it's on my less active, and set the step distance for less than I have, but still think it's 25-33% out.
I'm thinking the fitbit zip might be better, attached to a shoelace.0 -
I bought one about a month ago and love it. I put it on by bra strap in the morning it fits securely and is hidden and not seen through clothes and forget about it it syncs easily with my phone the Fitbit app is clear and precise showing you how many steps how well you've slept and how many calories in and out. After being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes I wanted something that would keep me motivated and help me keep up with any excerise and this is ticking all the boxes. One month on I'm seeing an accurate picture of how well I'm doing and sleeping love this little device0

Ok, so I bought a Fitbit. Now have to set it up - I hate this part! No instructions at all in the box, just "Go to Fitbit.com". So, I do that and when I try download the app (I have a Chromebook) it says:
"You haven't accessed the Google Play Store app (the white shopping bag icon) on your device with this email account".
I've had this message before when I attempted to install an app, but didn't pursue it.
Can anyone advise me what to do here? I struggle with technology....
Thank you!0 -
Do you have an account with Google Play ?ally.0

Unfortunately the Fitbit One (and possibly others) isn't compatible with a Chromebook. When I first got mime I had a windows laptop and had the little receiver USB thing plugged in and it all worked fine. Once I got my Chromebook it doesn't work so I now have to sync it with my phone, not a major problem of course, just have to be connected to the internet and switch on bluetooth.
You should still be able to access the website on a Chromebook, just not the app.0 -
Thanks Lady Bee, yes, I've synched it with my phone now and accessing the site on my Chromebook. It was fairly straightforward once I started, so fingers crossed, all up and running (well, walking slowly) now.
Thanks for all replies!0 -
I have a Misfit Flash and love it, I bought it as sort of an entry-level tracker. When it dies I may get a Fitbit
