Yum - could smell it cooking so just popped out to get some along with the Papers.

The Star has a coupon for £2 of £12 @ Poundland handy for DD as she off to get a load of Jane Asher stuff for her bakery projects. Plus coupon for £1 Health Lottery - not bad for 30p I thought - mind you I can't vouch for the contents!

Does anyone have a tried and tested recipe for Red Cabbage. Picked up a whoopsie one last night marked down to pennies from £2.60!

Have a Great Saturday everyone x

I just layer thinly sliced red cabbage with sliced onion and apples. Add spices, red wine vinegar and sugar.

I tend to slow cook and it freezes well and tastes good the next day too.

One red cabbage makes loads and loads:)

Sounds lovely and simple to do - which spices do you use.

Why do you freeze the conkers first, I have never heard of that?

Just a word of warning, Black Tower Bubbly was full price in my store (£8.25). I got them to scan it to be sure.

Shame, I was looking forward to some cheapo bubbly ;-)

Just checked my store and SEL is £3.50 (on shelf as a Rollback from £5) and available to order from my store so may give it a shot for a C&C this afternoon :).
