Mum's deferred pension

    Thanks everyone.. haha, to be honest i'm still none the wiser.

    Me and my brother are the named will executors but I can get my father to call all of the above (or i call and hand the phone over to him - he's not too good at sorting things like this out.)

    Mum was 68 when she passed away.

    If you are the executor then they will talk to you.

    Phone NHS pensions to inform them of her death. The deferred lump sum will not be from her.

    Phone the DWP and claim the deferred lump sum on your father's behalf.

    Thanks jem16, I'll get onto this tomorrow. I'm keen to get back to work now and once back at work I won't have the time to sort all this out as i'm not usually home until after the phone lines close - waiting in the queue to speak someone can sometimes take half an hour!
