Productnetwork - scam?

Anyone know anything about a company called Product Network? www . productnetwork . co.uk (without a hyphen and NOT .com - there seems to be a different company with a similar name)

They claim to offer people to keep a product, e.g. mobile, in exchange for answering a survey (testing and reviewing the product and then you supposedly get to keep it) - but are they legit or are they a scam?

The FAQ on their website has no content that I can see. Not a sign of professionalism.

Anyone got any experiences with them - good or bad?

  • I'm wondering the same as I've had an email offering a free new iphone6 - it would be lovely but seems too good to be true!

Registered in the UK and gives address and name (not on the site, but on checking the site details), but due to when the site was registered and when it expires, plus the fact it seems too good to be true, I wouldn't trust it.

Why would they need someone to test a PS4? They're selling millions and Sony would test things like that before selling them. They don't need random testers and why would they let you keep them? Same goes for the other things they offer. Doesn't make any sense.

Their facebook page has only 198 likes and not a single post has a like or comment. They only have 7 twitter followers.

I'd avoid the site. Doesn't seem legit and certainly doesn't appear to be doing well judging by their social media.
  • We're Product Network. An established business for 15 years and it seems that a business called I Luv Data have registered the domain name productnetwork.co.uk within the last 12 months. The chap running this business is Robert Leslie and the overall business is called ILD Media Limited.

I was able to speak to Rob and he advised me that he would update the website to feature contact details on there, to save the confusion and many calls and emails that we have subsequently received. If you see this thread and the website is not updated and need to get in touch the number is 0161 914 6680, they are based in Altrincham.

Rob tells me the business is a lead generation service, and I guess what that means is that they data gather and then pass your information onto businesses that would like to get in touch to sell you something.

It makes me feel a little uncomfortable that we have received so many disgruntled customers waiting to receive their products that I wonder whether anyone has ever received a product?! Its more likely that those people have actually received a load more junk mail in their inboxes trying to sell them products... In any case I hope this thread helps clear up some questions!!

Good luck all, and anyone with any positive feedback is welcomed on this thread as well!
  • Here's some info for anyone interested if you need to contact them.

The T&Cs refer to ILD Media which must be this company I Love Data. Just Google them.
