I can only imagine how frustrating it all is for you with the pain.I only have osteo arthritis and that pain can be bad so can't imagine the amount you're in.
Thanks Taxi - you know its bad when you don't drink enough fluids so that you dont have to get up to go to the loo  - Dr Dragon is bringing my clothes downstairs every morning and I am getting dressed in the lounge because I can only manage to climb the stairs once a day.Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

That's bad...can you get a commode or have a downstirs loo put in as it can't be good for you not having enough fluids or maybe get a stair lift.I'm not sure but maybe you can get a grant for those sort of works.0

The bathroom is downstairs, it is just WALKING that is the problem, um they looked at a stair lift but because of the style of cottage and the stairs they could only fit it for the last three stairs at the top!, and then everyone would have to use it because even folded up you couldn't get past (can we say narrow stairs here!)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Poor love, is it worth thinking about a bungalow in the future? I understand your dilemmas as it is not nice to be at the mercy of your body..xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

- Put up cards received so far (back of front door looks good for that!)
- [STRIKE]Dr Dragon is going out so I will sort through the rest of the magazines downstairs[/STRIKE]
- Dr Dragon to put them into re-cycling bin
- [STRIKE]Empty bin into rubbish bag[/STRIKE]
- Sort out file and do some filing
So far so good! Having a breather (checking emails etc), then I will try and sort the files out - also hoping Dr Dragon gets back soon, I'm gagging for a cup of tea!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Other than going up to bed I don't need to use the stairs BOB, everything else is downstairs (best type of house for me!), I just CAN'T walk at the moment! :mad:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Okay everything yesterday on my little list (sudden outbreak of Koko's song from The Mikado at that point!). Today I want to
- Sort out the cookery files
- Sort out some of the magazines stored under the bed
- Change the bed linen

Not so much up early as up betimes! I couldn't sleep because of pain, then I needed the bathroom and couldn't get back upstairs until Dr Dragon woke (needing the bathroom) at about 06.30 hours (I had been up since 04.00 hours), still caught up now and an early night - not much walking - should do it! :rolleyes:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Now to persuade Dr Dragon that he wants to dismantle the bed, the storage is sealed underneath (well you sort of lift it up like the bonnet of a car), so taking the mattress off and then getting in is the only way!
