An Olivier and Tony Award-winning playwright, Alan Ayckbourn is one of the indisputable legends of the British stage. After serving as Artistic Director of Stephen Joseph Theatre between 1972 and 2009, all but four of his best-loved plays received their premiere in the theatre. Now the Scarborough theatre prepares to launch Alan’s 79th play, Hero’s Welcome, which is written and directed by the man himself. Hero’s Welcome is one of the most highly anticipated productions of the year and we’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away to the 7.30pm performance on Saturday 5th September.
