They have been giving out wee grey cards that get you a discount? Is that only Scotland?

Edit, sorry, L1dl Scotland only :(

But the new news for Oct is out today and there is a £5 off £40 again for next weekend to 4th Oct
  • Is that just in Scotland?
  • So we got everything done yesterday.
I got DD2 on the Plops and after a hairy half hour where she didn't want to dismount, got her on again off again without a drama.

    Dr Who was interesting.

    *nerd alert*
I think when Russell T Davies restarted the show in 2005 he successfully and with a light touch and inventiveness made it more about relationships between the lead characters.
Steven Moffatt has followed that model but with less success and a heavier hand, and maybe the casting hasn't helped - Clara has died so many times that we are left no longer caring, and there is not a spark of age-appropriate chemistry between Coleman and Capaldi.

I read an article a few years ago about character deterioration, especially for the women, in Dr Who - and I've never watched Peter Capaldi at all. Took me a while to warm to Matt Smith, but yes, thinking about how Capaldi and Jenna Coleman *look* together - I know its not true, but he looks like he could be her grandfather, its really an issue.

Not seen the new episode yet, but I agree. It worked in the past having the big age gap as the older dr.s were more like grandfather figures. But after the chemistry between the newer doctors and their assistants , its now made it a little weird, its doesn't quite fit having coleman and capaldi, I'm still missing chris ecclestone and Billy piper.
