This summer sharing your favourite cycling and walking routes across West Sussex could see you win prizes.
In a brand new campaign for August, West Sussex County Council is encouraging people to get out and about across the county on foot or on their bikes – and then tell everyone else about it.
Every week throughout August we’ll be giving away prizes from local cycle shops, pubs, cafes and hotels across the county to winners who share their pictures and stories with us, and at the end of the campaign two winners will be selected at random to receive the major prizes – a Garmin Edge Touring Cycle GPS from South Downs Bikes or a £300 voucher to spend in store at Giant Shoreham.
Share your favourite walks and cycle rides - whether on the road, off road, or a combination of the two – for a chance to win.
How to Enter
Send an email to info@west-sussex-weekends.com and include:

In at least 150 words, a description of your route, some of its key features, places to stop off or things to look out for, and why it is one of your favourites.
A picture or a few pictures of you on the route (selfies are fine)
Your name and a few words about yourself

If you can include a map of the route, a gpx file, or a link to the route e.g. on Strava we’d really appreciate it, but this is not a requirement to be entered into the prize draws.

Terms & Conditions of Entry:

This competition/prize draw is organised by West Sussex County Council, County Hall, West Street, Chichester PO19 1RQ. By entering the competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Entry.
This competition is open to all UK residents of all ages; however, if under the age of 12 parental consent is required. If under the age of 18 please provide your age on your entry. Only one entry per person is allowed.

All entries for the weekly prize draws must be received by the published deadlines for entries. All entries for the Final prize Draw must be received by the closing date of midnight on 4 September 2015. No entries received after this date, or entries that are incomplete or defaced, will be considered for prizes. WSCC accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, damaged or incorrectly completed.

The winners will be selected at random from all qualifying entries. Draws will take place weekly for the Weekly Prize Draws, and the Final Prize Draw for the two major prizes (the Garmin Edge Touring Cycle GPS from South Downs Bikes and the £300 voucher to spend in store at Giant Shoreham) will be made within 28 days of the closing date.
Prizewinners will be notified shortly after each prize draw, by email. Weekly prizewinners will be able to preference their prize from the two available. If both winners select the same prize, they will be allocated at random. Failure to claim a prize within 7 days may result in disqualification and selection of a new winner. Only one weekly prize per entrant will be awarded. All entrants (including weekly prize winners) will be entered into the Final Prize Draw.
The organiser reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of equal or greater value. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash or credit alternatives will be offered.
The organiser’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The organiser will process the personal data of all entrants in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and will not disclose the personal data to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. Winners accept that the organiser may disclose their names to the public.
The organiser and this competition are governed by English Law.
The winners may be asked to take part in publicity and the organiser reserves the right to use the names and location of winners and their photographs in any publicity. The winners of the two prizes in the Final Prize Draw will be requested to visit the store to collect their prizes, and to participate in publicity (e.g. photographs) at the store.
