    Well I know for a fact how much in value my house went as an identical house sold for 280 in a day and our was valued the week later at 335k with the bank agreeing to 325k for lTV figures. The mortgage will cost about 30k in interest based on 260k mortgage. Yes I agree mortgage is debt and yes I have swapped to secured debt., but the new secured debt has added value. I only did house improvements on loans as I didn't realise the equity I had in the house, but I did take my term from 24 years to 11 years and now it will be 9 years. I took an extra 8 months of with the remortgage.
    Debt free. March 2020
    Mortgage free-August 2021
    Planned retirement date- 19/5/2026
    £29500 saved. Target £420000(19/05/2026)
