Are we now considered 'sub-prime'?

It'll be time to think about remortgaging in around 2 months time and have had a real rollercoaster ride since we last changed provider.
My loss of income for a period meant we had to enter payment arrangements through SC and have trashed our credit file in the process.
We are not in a DMP or IVA and I am now back in work but in terms of how we are looked on by potential lenders would we now be considered eligible for 'sub prime' deals only -in fact are we best just sticking with our current lender Santander and trying to negotiate the best deal we can now with them?
If it makes any difference we are at around 40% ish LTV.
Just trying to guage market attitude these days to what has been an unfortunate couple of years for us.
Thanks as usual

We had similar issues in 2009. All of the debts in the arrangement are now settled but one still reported on the credit file. What I gathered is that as long as the incidences aren't from the last 3 years, some lenders on the high street might consider our case - they did, we have an offer from halifax.
I think I'd speak to a few brokers in your shoes, with your credit report to hand. Good luck.0 -
If you are not borrowing more or increasing the term you could look at what deals Santander have for existing customers on there website.
You maybe able to change deals online Without Advice0 -
When did you finish your Arrangements to Pay?0
