Won alot one year but now not winning anything!

Has my luck run out? In one year I won two holidays, £3000, a tv and a few other smaller things but the last two years I have won absolutely nothing! Is there a problem with my email address? Maybe it's blacklisted as I have over 300 emails a day from all the comps I enter and register with. I wondered if anyone may be able to help. I would appreciate any advice. Although I feel tremendously grateful for the things I have won previously, I am upset that my luck seems to have run out. I look forward to hearing from anyone on this...

I think it's just that there are so many more people entering comps these days. My win rate is much lower these days too

Yep, statistics and odds are against you i'm afraid due to the sheer number of entrants nowadays. Just keep entering and forgetting.
The comping world will quieten down soon enough when people realise its not as easy as the media make it out to be so just hold tight for a while longer

i won loads after starting comping in August 2012, not much this year but I won a phone in January. If I get one a month now I consider myself lucky, won a cheese hamper last month which was lovely. About one win a month compared to last year about four wins a month! :cool:

You could change your comping email to something amusing so it stands out, it might help, I change my comping email regularly so it doesn't get tired.

I could have written your post myself so I know what you mean! I used to get a good selection of nice wins per month (not all big, some small, a few medium and all gratefully received) In 2014 I found that things were drying up and I'm now averaging a prize a month! I think far too many people are going to the media saying how lucky they are with comping so everyone is giving it a go now. It seems incredibly hard to win compare to what it used to be and also I don't think companies are running as many big comps either. I just keep at it hoping that there is another winning streak somewhere round the corner!

I have been comping since 2004. 2012 was my best ever year with some amazing big prizes. Since then however gone steadily down hill and this year so far is the worst year ever for wins with only 4 prizes all year.

There has been a lot of discussion on this same topic lately, and many of us have reported the exact same thing. As has been said above, there are just so many more people comping these days, that the wins become more thinly spread. Like yourself, I was previously winning a few decent prizes, I would always have at least one win a month and often won good stuff such as an iPad, £££ vouchers, etc - even when I didnt' have a "good" month I would always win something like books, toiletries etc, but this past year or so I've seen the wins almost peter out. I've had several totally dry months, and others where I've just won one very small prize. That's just the way It goes I think, I'm hoping it might pick up again but am not holding my breath...

Am I the only one that thinks there are a lot less 'big' comps than a few years ago too, by this I mean ones with lots of prizes.

I started in 2009 and for a few years there were always comps with daily/hourly entry and prizes. The ones I'm thinking of were companies like Pepsi, Coke, McVities, Magnum, Visa etc. Until the last couple of years there were also make up ones like Glamour May madness, Stella hourly etc.

I can't think of anything like this for a while now and lots of people on here (including me) had wins on them.
