GTM has reduced the payment for surveys

Anyone doing GTM noticed that the payments for surveys has been reduced? usually it was 15 to 60 points depending on the survey.
Now they are sending surveys for less so surveys that used to pay 35 points before are now paying 30 points and surveys that used to pay 15 and 30 points are now paying 10 and 20 points each. It seem I'm not the only one and a lot of people are not happy about this change because paying 30 points for a 25 min survey is a rip off.

Yes I noticed that today.
It does seem that these type of sites are getting worse with time vs money, maybe more people are joining them so they can afford to lose members who stop using it because of this and the new members wouldn't know a time when it paid better.
What annoys me about GTM is that the surveys listed when logging in don't tell you how much they pay or how long they'll be. Even the e-mails don't specify how long they'll be, just the number of points.
I recall reading somewhere the reason is too many people go for short surveys and the high paying ones and not enough people do the long ones or low paid/prize draw ones. What that means for me is that I don't touch the surveys that I don't see the information for just in case they are the latter type.
I know they like to think that people do surveys for the love of it but the vast majority do it for extra money, nothing else. The reason I am still with them is because I have earned more money from them then any other site, the surveys are very tedious.0 -

If you download the mobile app you can see a list of how many points you get for each survey and how long it is.0 -
GTM is one of my favourite survey sites (which isn't saying much:rotfl:) because I get more surveys from them than anyone else. I agree that their surveys are long and tedious but I seem to get enough for a cash-out from them fairly often even though the payment threshold is high. But toiling through some of their long and boring surveys for 10 or 20 points would be unacceptable. It's an insult when you think that Pinecone pay £3 or £4 for just one survey. I'll probably leave GTM after my next redemption if that's what they have planned.0

That's a bad business move.... I wonder why they did it?0

After just completing 2 surveys and being told at the end of both that it appears that I've already completed it I have just e.mailed GTM with a complaint.
Can't imagine it'll do much but I thought I may as well vent my spleen on them. I also mentioned about the changes in points awarded for the surveys.
What really made my blood boil was that it said that it appeared I had already completed the survey and then followed it up with "wow! thanks for your enthusiasm".
My enthusiasm for GTM is waning fast which is a shame as they were always fairly decent payers and more importantly offered a reasonably fast payout.0 -
Thanks asajj. I shall give it a try.0

Yesterday I fully completed a survey, only to be told again, that I have been screened out, that is the fourth one this year. I always e'mail them to complain about this, and just get a bog standard reply saying I was screened out, and do not get the points. Just not worth the bother anymore.
I always clear cache and run Ccleaner after every internet session, but this has not made a difference for me.0 -
When is started with GTM it was 100 a survey and even screening out gave you 10, soon be luck to get 10 for completing a survey at this rate0

Right, that's it! Got a little bit of satisfaction.
Invited to a survey for 40 points and after over 30 of the most boring minutes of my life I was awarded a crummy, useless prize draw survey.
Had a few points in my balance but have just unsubscribed from GTM. It asked me if I would give my reasons why I was unsubscribing. I'm glad it didn't limit me to 150 words!
I know my unsubscribing will mean little to them but I thought it was time to say enough is enough.
Treated them with the same contempt they treated me.
Try and find some others now which treat their members a little more fairly.0
