Have not posted on here for a while as I have been on holiday and prior to that I had been working hard to clear the decks for going on holiday!
Have been fairly poor this month at cutting down the debt although I did manage to have 3 NSDs while on holiday. It is however the case that a lot of money spent over the two weeks although this did come out of earnings rather than adding more to my debts.
The biggest annoyance was getting a speeding ticket! I got the speed limit wrong and thought I was driving on a 40 mph road when it was 30 mph. I got caught doing 36 mph. The annoying thing was I even saw the detector van and smugly thought "oh it's ok I'm driving under 40"! I will just have to suck it up. I am going to attend the driver awareness course rather than take the points. It is an extra £10 and half a day lost but I think it is better than the points and the effect they may have on my insurance.
Well I am going to redouble my money saving efforts now the holiday is over. I brought my own lunch in today so that is a start........Natwest: £17940
