M&S website - Dont' use it!

I placed a couple of orders on the Marks an Spencer website 3 weeks ago, one for 18 items and one for 20 items - it was their sale! As they hadn't been received I phoned them up today to discover that only 1 of the 20 items was available and on the other order, only 3 of the 18 items was available. I think this is disgraceful!

In addition, there had also been no communication at all since my original orders were placed, not even to say that some items were not available. If their website can't handle orders and they can't update customers they should just close the website down.

They were very apologetic when I complained but I wonder how many others have experience similar problems with them?

    Me me me me me!

I ordered some school uniform items and a couple of sale items-didn't hear anything till I called them after 10 days.
At that point I was told that if items are out of stock, then your order basically goes into limbo, and the first they know about it is when irate customers contact them!!! Great system huh?

The school things eventually arrived, but there was no sign of the £15 gift vouchers I was promised for the inconvenience.....

I won't be shopping online with them again!

My wife ordered flowers from M&S for her mother's birthday last year and it couldn't have been a bigger disaster... I won't go into extensive detail but it took over a week for anything to arrive. Safe to say we will never be ordering from them again!

I ordered from M&S a few weeks ago. Order didn't arrive, so I checked the status online. It said expected delivery date June 2008!!!

Rang up, and basically was given the run around, and told different stories each time I rang up again to chase. Initially told that if del date is 1 year in the future, this means that the item is out of stock and will never be delivered. Another person said that meant it was out of stock, but I may be one of the lucky 10% that actually receives the item

Eventually did receive the item. But it has put me right off bothering with the M&S website again as it was hopeless, and the customer service team were equally poor.

Totally agree, I ordered sale items plus free delivery in the spring sale. At least a month later items started coming in dribs and drabs, the price is not shown on the delivery note so you cannot confirm that they have actually charged you correctly. Then when I checked my account on-line they had charged delivery on EACH delivery so items that should have been a bargain end up back to normal price. Eventually they sent me a cheque but I will not use again, it's too much hassle.

I'm waiting for three items ordered out of the sale - first delivery should have been despatched 26th July and second delivery 10th August. Will give them a call after the 10th to see if my order has been cancelled. Bet it has!

Another thing to note - I ordered loads of school uniform for my little boy to try on. I returned the whole order on Friday and they had to refund each item separately. I am now the proud owner of 15 separate M&S green till receipt refunds and wasted ages in the store while the very patient sales assistant refunded me.

They will be on your M & S internet account ready to use with your next order - one way of making sure you reorder via the website

Add things to your shopping basket and when you go to checkout, you will see the discount reflected there

I asked for gift vouchers, that I could spend instore rather than online, as I told them I won't be shopping online with them again! I was assured this would be the case

I saw the M&S Website kick a puppy.

    (allegedly)
  • Three emails and a phone call later and I still have no idea what is going on with my orders and what I have been billed even after asking for details of what exactly I have been charged for.

I have received multiple deliverys of the same items which I had not ordered from one order. That order is still listed as to be dispatched as well with no dispatch emails or further information on them being set and what was billed. The next guy even told me my order had been cancelled because they are out of stock. huh?

On another order they told me one item was out of stock and I would not get it but I had already received it a few days before. I wasn't told about the item I actually wasn't going to get.

I was also billed for delivery when I used the free delivery promotion so I do not trust they won't bill for me things I didn't request or order.

Another duplicate item came through on Tuesday, I give up trying to figure it out or contact them.

No compensation but a "sorry" at the end of phone and after another conflicting response that did not reflect what was going on.

I was promised gift vouchers too, which also haven't arrived!!

I specifically asked for gift vouchers as did not want to order online again after it was such a mess!!
