Bought PS 4 and was going to sell my PS3 but looks like I'll be putting PS3 back and

Bought PS4 and i don't like it!

The unit is quite big and sticks out of my cabinet

Replaying GTAV and I can't see any benefit over my ps3

It doesn't support video music streaming at all which is a deal breaker for me because I steam movies from my desktop computer upstairs to my PlayStation/TV downstairs

Even plugged my 1 GB drive into it with all my movies on and it still won't play them or even recognise the drive

Eventually tried a DVD in it and although it will play it there is little of no support for navigating, doesn't support my Sony remote control, you can hear the disc spinning and the game controller has to be on and is glowing away

Was going to sell my PS3 but looks like I'll be putting it back and selling my brand new PS4

GTA V looks massively better on the PS4.


Although I agree that the lack of ability to play movies is annoying.

So you didn't even bother to research it before you bought it?
It won't play cds either. All this was said before it was released 17 months ago.
Mine is more or less a Netflix box now.
Very disappointed in it.

A couple are ok,a couple look ok.
I was excited about Dragon age inquisition but that was a bit crap, bf4 was so broke I actually threw it in the bin, hardline is very disappointing, as were both CoD games.
Sniper 3 was ok, and T.R. Definitive was pottery good cause I hadn't played it before but most things released have been very disappointing fir what's supposed to be the future of gaming.

None of those games are exclusives.

I'm hearing good things about Bloodborne so will pick that up next I think.

Oh, yeah sorry, Bloodborne looks good but is supposed to be just an updated Demon's Souls...basically a constant hack/slash so they get pretty boring quickly .
Maybe I'm simply too old now.

I think a lot of people expected a huge step up from the last gen consoles to this gen and it hasn't been such a large step as many wanted, considering its been about 5-7 years between consoles.

Also the PS4 monthly freebies have seen a lot of criticism for being budget titles.

The best time to get into a new console, is 2-3 years in, many games are cheap to pick up and the freebies, start to contain previous full price titles.

Reviews generally said the PS4 was going to be about gaming, more than being an all round entertainment system.

So far, I don't think, it's been blinding gaming wise and so people are looking at the entertainment system aspect, which is also not blinding.

I downloaded Injutice Gods Amoung Us and Infamous First Light, 2 games I would have bought anyway

For all it's worth, I wouldn't play movies on a PS4 (or 3). You can get a really cheap dvd or blu ray player now, for almost peanuts (Sub £40) which you can easily convert to multi region should you wish, and importantly will use a fraction of the power the PS4 will. Thing is, wear out the laser on a PS4 and that's a mightily expensive movie watch.

I am interested in both Resogun and Bloodborne, but not enough to spend £250 + system tax first!

And now that Resogun's made it to PS3 and Vita, that makes Bloodborne a £300 game. o_O
