Have you ever tried making creme eggs ?
Like everything else homemade i bet they'd be better than the shop bought ones.

They aren't as good as they used to be. I've not actively bought creme eggs for over 20 years as a result. The filling's less runny and the bottom lump of chocolate is half the depth it used to be in the 70s.
I did buy a bar or two of the chocolate-bar-shaped version some years ago.
I'd not make my own creme eggs as I'd only need to make one - and the effort/mess/cost is then disproportionate to the end result.0 -

No! It looks a lot life faffing about and making lots of mess and washing up.
I have bought my Easter Eggs from Tesco.
Buy 2 and get 2 free (twice) I now have 8 med. eggs for £6.
Plenty for small gifts to give out.The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
