Sad Stories!

I don't know what it is lately, but I'm not entering a lot of fb comps lately because peoples comments seem to be telling their entire life stories, all of which seem so terrible. Thing is the prizes for this seem so small, why do it?

because their cancer riddled postmans nans friends cat has only 3 legs , 1 eye and lacks fur and that fish slice or home made craft tat is just what they need to lift their spirits

I've actually made a point of putting on a few of the mothers day ones... "I'm not going to give a sob story as we all have our own problems and we all love our loved ones because that's exactly what they are, loved!" lol

Its a pet hate of mine... I am all for saying your washing machine is on its last legs when you need a new one and a washing machine comp pops up! But the ridiculous stories people throw out to win anything (small prize or big) well it annoys me! So the sob story may be true, but it being true is actually worse than if the culprits made it up, because in my view, using your [insert family member here]'s cancer, or stroke or disability etc etc to try and gain sympathy to win ANY prize is in VERY bad taste if you ask me!
