New Comper...quick question

Hi all, I'm new to this whole comping thing and I think the competition forum and those who keep it updated deserve a lot of credit!
I have come across other sites like myoffers.co.uk, prizereactor.co.uk, ukprize.co.uk etc etc......I was just wondering, are these sites legit?
I'm wary because it's entering details into these sites without knowing who is actually running the competition....I'm a little confused!
Thanks

Aren't MyOffers comps banned from the forum because they send so much spam? Personally I rely on comps posted on the forum and don't enter others, because forum comps are tried and tested. That's partly why the forum is so great :cool:0

Cheers, don't fancy being spammed silly so I think I'll avoid all those....MSE forum is very comprehensive anyway it seems which is great.0

no theyre the absolute worse ! i know from first hand exp
saying that though ive been entering loads comps from here and have had literally 3 spam calls in a week and i untick boxes, i just block em tho:heart2::heart2::heart2::heart2::heart2:0 -
If you do much comping you are going to get spam and the odd call however thorough you are with ticking and unticking the boxes. The key is to avoid the really bad sites, which are banned from MSE anyway, and to filter the calls if you can. The best tip I have found for this is to store numbers which you have previosuly answered and are spam or which you miss calls from and find are spam by googling under a contact called DO NOT ANSWER or similar. It is very satisfying when you get a call, as I did earlier this week, and the phone just reads DO NOT ANSWER!0

Or just download MR NUMBER to your phone
if an unwanted call or text is received, then load up MR NUMBER on your phone and use the Block number / mark as Spam and they will not be able to phone or text againYes, I know there is no "R" in the word dream in my username - it was setup in memory of my grandson :A0 -

We, as members, voluntarily do not post then in the main.
I have expanded on the banned list here.
