6lb in 3 weeks

Do you think it's possible to lose 6lbs in three weeks?

I tend to eat healthy anyway and go to the gym for an hour a night, Monday thro Friday but just 'maintain' which I'm happy with.

I have a holiday in 3 weeks and would like to lose 6lbs if possible.

Would I cut what I eat, do more at gym, both?
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

    Excellent, thank you.

I'm a real novice at this, I don't have a lot of pasta, or bread and no potatoes, but LOVE sweet potatoes, I could cut them for three weeks tho most definitely.

I will Google low carb meals now thank you.

I noticed you mentioned working out, I've noticed that I weigh slightly more when working out than when not. I missed a good three weeks of exercise over December/January and lost weight. I think it's something to do with muscle being denser than fat? Someone more knowledgeable would be able to explain better.

Thank God someone else said this......

I love the gym, and do cardio and weights so do mix it up, but it definitely doesn't make me lose weight or even change dress size, it makes me feel good and gives me a buzz which I love but I definitely just stay the same .

  • To lose weight most will come from what you eat, try eating every 2-3hrs (5-6x a day) as it will boost metabolism (not huge amounts of course). Drink plenty of fluids, 6-8 glasses a day (think about 1.5 to 2ltr) as it really does help with hunger and losing. No need to avoid carbs at all, you can eat anything in moderation and lose just fine. As for exercise, maybe try changing what you do, less cardio and more resistance or something you've never tried?

Someone who knows more will be along soon but it's definitely doable assuming you have it to lose!
  • Oh and muscle and fat weigh the same in terms of a pound of muscle weighs a pound, a pound of fat the same but muscle takes up less space so you'd weigh the same but seem smaller and you may gain some muscle and increase weight even tho looking much better. Try lifting heavy but get guidance on how to and do it properly too, you won't get muscular like guys do but will build lean muscle and increase bone density etc and the muscle will burn any fat way better
