Runner up to a You & Your Wedding Photoshoot?

I had a phone call about 10 minutes ago (a bit late at night if you ask me) saying that I was a runner up to a competition for a VIP Makeover & photoshoot worth £800.00. It is a genuine competition as I remember entering it on here!
Although I didn't win the main prize, they wanted to offer me a £500.00 package, and all I would have to do was give them a £50 deposit that I would get back on the day. He made me feel like I was a bit on the spot to be honest- so I made up a story about not being able to afford it and I'd let him know tomorrow
I'm going to decline.
After looking at the email I received (I'd be sent it before the call) it says that the £50 deposit can only be redeemed against prints or other services on the day - all seems like a bit of a scam to me?
Just wanted to warn people incase they thought they had won an amazing prize - it could end up costing you!!

That's not unusual for photoshoot "prizes", just to get people through the door and go for pressure sales.
pages 36 and 37 of this thread mention a few (there are others).
