Thanks peeps for your input, I actually started to do it that way & was PM,d with the advice that not everyone is happy to trawl through a thread for days & days of bumps (which is often the case)


Also that this way with the unique URL'S on each day perhaps there would be less Dupe's

Sorry if its not to everyone's taste but the old saying 'you can't please all of the people all of the time' etc

I am still learning & hopefully each thread will be bumped when live & there shouldn't be a problem

hi, makes no diff to me
though personally I think the thread would have been better staying as you posted it in the first place as a daily & you could of added each comp as it came live onto the thread as opposed to how it is now with lots of different posts spread all over the main board so to find them some peeps will have to
subscribe to each post for when/if they get bumped when live,
&/or search the boards for emeraldstreet for each post,
just my pennysworth which isn't worth much anyways
emeraldstreet is very similar to the shortlist & stylist ones & they're always posted in dailies.

Generally comps like this are put on 1 post and a new link added each day or bumped for each day, It keeps the board tidy and keeps all the relevant days in 1 thread, Not sure who Pm'd you but by clicking End key u get to the bottom of thread easily. By clicking Home key you are back to the top, very easy with those keys to navigate a thread.

I fully understand your post above as it can be a minefield, It might be easier for people that will get confused to use Fireflys tip or save the main page for this comp in their daily folder http://www.emeraldstreet.com/beautymonth

Next time I have a dilemma over a comp posting I will get advice off more than one person & then there is a chance it will be the right choice

I apologise its now going to be disjointed, but it seemed at the time that with each one running for three days & staggered this way was a reasonable solution (clearly not)

If any of the mods want to 'combine the threads' before they go live then that is fine by me I have no idea what happens in these circumstances, presumably I am not the first to post 'wrongly'

I too would have preferred them in 1 thread but that's irrelevant now and it won't actually make much difference because we still get to enter them anyway. I just wanted to say thanks as posting them all separately must have been a lot of effort and taken up a lot of your time :T

yeah one thread would have been good like the stylist and shortlist dailies that sometimes appear. these are just everywhere now and i cannot green tick them or red cross them aghhh i am ocd ha ha
