What has happened to search function in competitions?

Seventh Anniversary

Hi, I always use the search forum to look for specific competitions but in the last week whenever I try it, it brings up a form like screen saying you have to wait 15 secs between searches rather than search results. Never had this issue before! Am I doing something wrong, has search functionality changed or is there an issue?

Any advise or help appreciated,

    Seems to be worse for me in Firefox.Chrome seems to be better.

    Not being able to search meant I couldn't search to find out if anybody else had the problem ...

    Slightly annoying but I just wait the 15 secs and search.

    I just wait the 15 seconds, so I've not really noticed an issue. I usually have plenty other windows open to occupy me!
    I just enter and forget...hoping to win something! :)

    I've been getting it for a while now, but getting much worse last few days.
    Am also finding that searching causes the page to crash, and at times, the whole IE and any other tabs I have open crash.
    So annoying as have found a few comps lately, but the problems mean I'm only able to share them on FB :(, or take a chance as I did when posting the new Dorset Cereals yesterday :(
    Worse things will have happened in the world today...

    Me too, more frequently last five days. Firefox. Owing to this situation with search and to avoid duplicate posting, I will be reluctant to post any new comps I come across until this is fixed. I've noticed a distinct drop in new comps posted recently.

    Might be a bit of that but there is usually a drop after the "Advents" anyway.

    I get it when I log on and go to search for something.

    Last time the search was doing stuff like this it was a technical issue.

    I find the search has become unreliable now, and it can take five or six variations of keywords to find a competition has actually been posted already. It's no wonder there's so many duplications occurring.
